Jennifer Herbin
Certified Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer is a certified nurse practitioner born and raised in Iowa, but has been a Texan for over 17 years. She graduated from Luther College with a bachelor’s in nursing, and UT Health science center in San Antonio with a master’s in nursing. Prior to becoming an NP, she had the privilege of serving as a hospital nurse, primarily in the emergency room. Before joining Dr. Byrd, she was an NP in Bastrop in family practice/internal medicine for 10 years. She enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband and two boys, traveling, and sports.
Yanelle Olmos, FNP-C
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Yanelle Olmos, FNP-C, is a bilingual board-certified family nurse practitioner. Native to the state of Texas, she attended the University of Texas at El Paso where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude in 2013. Yanelle then returned to UTEP and further pursued her interest in the medical field, graduating as Summa Cum Laude, with her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She has worked primarily in family medicine and is well experienced in preventative health and management of chronic and acute illnesses. Yanelle’s approach for medical intervention is tailored to each patient and focused on education using evidence-based practice. She maintains an active and healthy lifestyle that is reflected in her practice. She is passionate about providing holistic and comprehensive care to improve overall health and wellness.
In her free time, she loves to compete in crossfit, travel, watch live music, and spend quality time with family and friends.
Meet C. Ron Byrd MD
Dr. Byrd earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Baylor University before receiving his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport in 1992. He completed an internship and residency at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, becoming board-certified in family medicine in 1995. In 2001, Dr. Byrd opened his own practice. He recertified in 2002, 2009, and again in 2019.
